Send MMS

With the new Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS Service), you can send messages from your mobile with sounds, images and much longer texts than with simple short messages, to another COSMOTE, VODAFONE and/or ORANGE customer, your MMS Album (if you have the MMS Album activated), or an electronic address (e-mail). All you need is an MMS compatible handset and to be registered with the MMS Service. MMS Service is available also in roaming through Cosmote GPRS partners.

In order to create and send a multimedia message, you must access the Messages section in your phone's menu, select Multimedia Message, enter the desired text and insert the picture with or without sound. Then, insert the recipient's phone number or an e-mail address and Send the message.

Receive MMS

On your mobile you can see, modify, edit or forward the MMS message you have received, provided your handset is compatible with MMS technology and you have registered for the MMS. Every time you receive a multimedia message, your phone will play a sound and display a symbol. In order to open the MMS message, follow the instructions displayed by your phone.

MMS Service Activation/Deactivation

In order to send and/or receive multimedia messages you first need to activate the MMS Service and to configure your handset for MMS service.
The MMS Service can be activated when subscribing or anytime later by:

  - sending an SMS with text "A MMS" to 1234 or 
  - by calling Customer Care Service at 1234 or 
  - by requesting the activation to a COSMOTE Sales Point.

Within 24 hours since you submit the request, you will receive from COSMOTE a confirmation message about MMS Service activation completion and another SMS with the necessary OTA settings that need to be accepted and saved into your mobile handset for a correct configuration of the MMS Service.
The MMS Service can be deactivated by calling the Customer Care Service at 1234
You can exchange MMS messages with your friends even when you are abroad (in roaming). In this case, on top of your MMS tariff you will pay additional charges (GPRS Roaming tariifs) for the GPRS traffic corresponding to the MMS you send and/or receive.
